Christmas and the New Year is a great time to get engaged. It’s why more couples pop the all-important question at this time of year, than any other. It also now gives you the whole of 2016 to get excited about your wedding plans, choose your venue, your photographer, and your other suppliers.
Sometimes though, it can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? How do you plan? Wedding planning can feel like a minefield. How do you know if someone is going to give you the personal touch that you crave on the day? In my previous roles, I have organised several high profile VIP events, ensuring they have run to time, and that everything has been delivered to my client’s wishes.
Your wedding is about you as a couple and how you want to celebrate your day. As such, I believe that it’s good to get to know you both a little better, so that on your special day, photography is the last thing that you need to think about. It allows you to enjoy yourselves, spend time with your friends and family, and soak up what will be one of the most important and special occasions of your life.
An engagement photoshoot means that come your wedding day – you already know what will make you look best in your photographs. Knowing how your photographer works and having a rapport with them, really does make a difference.
All of this said, these are Louise and Andy’s images from their engagement photoshoot. On a cold, crisp winter’s morning, we met in the beautiful town of Farnham in Surrey. The light was quite literally stunning. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Cain Manor near Grayshott. It’s going to be an amazing day… x
