I don’t know about you, but it’s been a while since I was invited to a wedding as a guest – so was really looking forward to not working for once and being able to enjoy Mike and Sian’s special day.
They were getting married at The Hawksmoor at London’s Guildhall, which is one of the UK’s best steak restaurants, nestled in the heart of the City, right by St Paul’s Cathedral.
The weather was a real mix of sunshine and showers, and it was a lovely day from start to finish.
But I have to say my heart sank when I learnt a couple of days beforehand, that they hadn’t booked a professional photographer. Instead, they were relying on friends and family to send them iPhone equivalent images so they could compile an album afterwards.
As I say, I was a guest, but I offered to give them five minutes of my time on the day for some couple images. This explains why there are so few in this blog. But it also demonstrates what a professional photographer can achieve within five minutes and why I would suggest, it’s always best to have one on board.
Needless to say Mike and Sian, love the pictures. I hope you do too… x
