A few months ago I met the super talented Clare and Martin Pinkney at a networking event for Surrey wedding suppliers. We agreed that we’d love to work together on a styled photoshoot. So the idea was born that I would get together a team of talented professionals who work or are based in Surrey and we would look to stage a styled wedding photoshoot with the theme of ‘The Sophisticated Bride’.
For us, the venue was a no brainer – Burhill Golf Club in Hersham, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. Not only is it not far from where I’m based, but it is a stunning venue with lots of sophisticated period features, chandeliers and gorgeous grounds and surroundings. In short, it’s a perfect location for a wedding. It also complimented our theme perfectly.
With Clare and Martin expertly looking after make-up and hair respectively, I contacted Lavina at Viva Bridal to see if she could help us with sourcing the dresses for the day.
We’d created a mood board on Pinterest to ensure that everyone fully understood the looks we were trying to achieve, and Lavina even had one of the beautiful David Tutera gowns that we’d featured.
Our models, Esme Jane and Carly perfectly complimented the theme too, and Jackie Burden’s addition of the three tiered wedding cake and matching cupcakes was inspired. Vanessa Udall provided two beautiful bouquets and the addition of David Moore’s classic car really topped everything off. Chris Mann from Lumiere Films also captured what happened behind the scenes beautifully on video.
A massive thank you to everyone who took part in this photoshoot:
Clare Pinkney – Make-up
Martin Pinkney – Hair
Lavina Best – Viva Bridal
Vanessa Udall – House of Flowers

David Moore – Timeless Weddings (Car and Chauffeur)

I hope that you enjoy the images and our interpretation of ‘The Sophisticated Bride’… x
